Modern Thai massage practitioners act on the theory that the body is impregnated with “lom” or “air,” which is inhaled through the lungs and then travels through the body along paths called “sen” or “vessels.” Typically, massage therapists manipulate a handful of the main sen lines by pressing certain points along the lines. <\/p>

It also includes yoga-like stretches, which are meant to stimulate the senna and move the lom through the body using a pumping action that is connected to the patient’s breathing. This type of massage is a sequence of pressures on points and lines, circulatory compressions, stretching and reflex stimuli. All this chained in a regular rhythm. Their work focuses on eliminating toxins and offers the massage recipient a deep sense of peace, both in their body and in their mind. <\/p>
